Reaching out to the transmen here...I consider myself male but have not transitioned physically. Can anyone give me some good resources about the process, maybe some advice.

Thanks.

Step one would be to find a trans educated and experienced therapist who you feel comfortable talking to. If that person is good they will usually have a lot of resources and recommendations of where to go and what to do..etc.

I agree about finding a therapist who is well versed with trans issues. Not specifically a trans- therapist just someone who can help you explore your thoughts and feelings about masculine expression in a safe place.

Transition can be VERY alluring on the physical appearance side of things but the internal journey can often be a complete and utter t-total bitch of a ride and many transguys don’t like to talk about that part. Take your time and have a good talk with people and find a therapist – that’s my advice.

Just remember, it does not happen over night. Even after you start T and begin the transition, some results will take time, and some work on your part. Keep your options open and to how you want your transition to go. remember we all transition differently.
